After three years of training, my Diploma in business is in the bag. Yes! It’s fantastic that Thermoplan has offered me a post as Procurement Manager right away. But that doesn’t mean my learning process has come to an end.
In the morning I first have a good coffee. Then me and my team develop concepts based on global trends and cooperations with universities and start-ups, carry out tests and measurements independently, make analyses and derive recommendations for actions. Originally I was a skilled automobile tradesman. When I joined Thermoplan in 2014 it was the beginning of an exciting and challenging professional journey on which I am constantly progressing.
After different training and further training courses, and experience as a procurement manager, I’ve started my training to become a Purchasing Specialist with a Federal Diploma. With that I’ll be switching from the operational to the strategic area of purchasing. The focus here is liaison with suppliers, close collaboration with our R&D team and the supervision of various projects.
For me, a skilled saddler, it was a total career change when I came to Thermoplan in 2014. But I was soon welcomed by the Production team and quickly became a proud member of Thermoplan!
Since January 2017 I’ve been working in the R&D Department at Thermoplan as an employee of the Technical Lab. Before I joined Thermoplan I worked for several years as a skilled automobile mechatronics engineer. During that time I gained extensive technical knowledge. This now helps me to understand connections and to find faults quickly, although it’s a completely different sector.
